For those not on fb or the AD forums:
I am hosting an essay contest (with prizes)!
Even if you are not interested, please reblog! I am trying to get as many entries as possible and would be happy to reblog things in return for you!
Topic: What TV shows/movies/books/games/characters had a huge impact on who you are today and why?
Reasons might extend from reasons you now act a certain way to why you made certain decisions to what was going on in your own life at the time you experienced the media. The preferred format is at least a couple paragraphs with at least a sentence or two of an intro and conclusion (if not separate paragraphs in themselves).
Prize(s) (in no order):
*48-hour Crunchyroll premium pass (I have three of them so far [long story], but will have five by the time this contest is finished)
*I have a whole box of anime DVDs to choose from
*take a look at my fabric (via photos) and I will make you something with your choice
*more depending on how many entries I get.
There will be at least one winner with two runners up. If I get more than a handful, I might go farther down the list of numbers.
When someone wins, they will get to choose the prize that they want from first to last.
Deadline: June 30th
Example of what not to write:
”I just lurved _____ sooooo much omgroflcopter1!1 it was so adjective!!!!!!” [should be obvious reasons why this is not winning]
”Title” was a great game/movie/etc because it was adjective.” [no specific reasons why it impacted how you now view and go about life]
Examples of what to write:
”Title had an impact on my preferences of something. Here’s how. reasons and details”
”Such and such was going on in my life, and Title helped me get through it because reasons and details.”
”Title helped me discover something about myself. Reasons and details.”
Submit via: Send me an ask (no anon allowed) with nothing but ”Zidane’s Tail” (text images of his tail both acceptable) in it and I will privately reply with my e-mail address so that you can send me a .doc or .rtf file.
Basically I want more than “I liked this thing because ___.” That’s what fangirl/boy-ing out at cons and in forums is for. It’s legitimate lifestyle choice/impact/discovery (whether large or small) that I want to know about. I find that it’s a really interesting topic that I don’t get to talk to people much about since it can take up so much time. Looking forward to some really cool entries!
If there are any questions, let me know! I’m looking forward to some really good entries. Feel free to send me asks if something isn’t clear.

So there’s this girl that I dislike…I always tells one of our mutual friends that I feel like I’ll run into her or her boyfriend soon. Well guess what! Apparently I’ve been near her every year since 2011 at Anime Detour! You know why she started going? Because I convinced her ex to go with me, but he invited her after he decided to throw away our friendship to get back together with her! If I would have gotten any sleep last night I wouldn’t give a shit! But I’m running on two hours right now and I can’t let go of past wrong-doings or drudges! -turns into a Madoka witch and hides in her labyrinth-
